Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my first visit?
There's a few things you'll want to have for your first appointment: Bring your ID, insurance card, and a prescription from your doctor (if you have one). Wear comfortable clothes, as your PT may have you perform some light stretches and exercise. Arrive 15 minutes early for your evaluation.
How Long are the appointments?
Our evaluations take 90 minutes, follow up appointments are one hour long.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We are in network with most insurances. For further questions regarding insurance coverage, please call our office at 717-691-8300.
What if my insurance doesn't cover Physical Therapy?
We have a self-pay option available to those who do not have insurance coverage. Please call our office at 717-691-8300 to learn more.
Will I have to do a lot of exercises at home?
We understand that our patients lead busy lives, so we try to minimize “Home Exercises” by giving you a couple exercises that you can perform easily throughout the day. Home programs will always be designed for your specific needs.

What does a pelvic Floor Examination and treatment sessions look like?
The examination and treatment will depend on your symptoms and comfort level.  Physical therapists are licensed to perform internal exams this allows for diagnosis and guides treatment.  We focus on the evaluation of muscle strength and integrity. Please feel free to call our clinic with any questions.
How long do people do Physical Therapy? When will I see results?
The length of your plan of care will depend on your diagnosis, and the frequency with which you complete the exercises your PT prescribes between visits. After you are evaluated and your PT has a better understanding of your diagnosis, she will be able to talk with you more about what the timeline of your treatment might look like.
